If the cooler can not be isolated from the piping system during the flushing process use a strainer to capture any debris. Any chemicals used in the flushing process must be compatible with copper and silver. Consideration should be given to winter conditions. If freezing winter weather is a concern external spray pipes should be drained before the onset of freezing weather or insulated and heat traced to prevent pipe bursts. Provisions for disconnecting and draining the water should be made prior to installation. The HyprCool should never be used as a ground for arc welding equipment. Commissioning Preparation WARNING Due to the risk of electric shock and arc flash if work must be performed on an energized control cabinet it should only be done by trained personnel wearing appropriate PPE. Before powering on the HyprCool 1. Fill the system with water or a waterglycol solution as specified by EMSCO. Vent all air from the system. 2. With the power turned OFF carefully inspect the controls enclosure. Check for loose wire connections. Wires may have shaken loose during transportation or installation. 3. Ensure that all circuit breakers are in the ON position and that transformer fuses are intact. 4. Ensure that motor overloads are not tripped. 5. Check that motor overloads are set to the full load current of the fan motors. After powering on the HyprCool 6. Ensure that the controller is energized. The LCD screen should be illuminated and should display the water temperature. Depending on the water temperature one or more fans may turn on shortly after applying power. 7. The controller will arrive pre-programmed to your specifications and should not need adjustment. Adjusting the settings can negatively affect English 2
